About Dr. Monahan

Dedication to patient care and continuously improving the overall experience at Buckhead Internal Medicine are Dr. Monahan’s top priorities.

Dr. Monahan has been a member of the Piedmont medical community since 1997, and has been in her current location since 2001. She is an active member of the Piedmont Hospital medical staff, and in the past has served as the Chief of Medicine representing the Department of Medicine on the Piedmont Hospital Credentialing Committee.

Dr. Monahan possesses a special interest in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and over the years has received additional training for diagnosing and treating this disease.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Monahan has been an Atlanta resident since 1994. She enjoys photography, Bikram Yoga, knitting, and horseback riding.
